Researchers of the Faculty of Science, PSU Donate 40 Sci-Thermometers to the Faculty of Medicine to Support Actions against COVID-19
On Friday, the 29th May 2020, the Dean of the Faculty of Science, PSU Assoc. Prof. Dr. Anchana Prathep, the faculty’s administration team and a team of researchers led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Chittanon Buranachai (Department of Physics and TAB-CoE) who is the head of the Sci-Thermometer innovation group handed 40 of the thermometers out to the medical team of the Songkla Nakarind Hospital represented by Asstistant Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Dr. Chanon Kongkamol. This could be accomplished because of the funds donated by the Sci-Jai@PSU project.
The Sci-Thermometer is innovated to measure the temperature of a person’s forehead. The exposure to others can be reduced because of the automatic fever screen using infrared light technology. At the moment the Sci-Thermometer is being used in the Songkla Nakarind Hospital, here it is and will be an efficient tool to support the protection against COVID-19. Thanks to those who supported the fund for this innovation. For everyone who is interested in supporting our innovations further, information is available at https://scijai.sci.psu.ac.th/ #SciJai@PSU Fight against COVID-19
